Contest-Prep-Talk
here.So, as you know from the last journal, we have a new contest about to start. Though, we probably still need to organize a bit.
Task: Draw/design/create an ID OR an Icon for the club. There are no limitations, except that it should be appropriate. Keep it clean, ladies and gents.
The work should include: The club's name, the Kingdom Hearts Logo somewhere, any size and shape, and, if you want, some information about us, our purpose, and the general idea of our club. You can put in a statement asking to join, or just show off your skills with paint/photoshop/paintshop/ or whatever you use
.Characters are welcome, if you want, or have enough space, you are allowed to put in some characters, either be it from the games, or the moderators and founders. Keep in mind that this is our club ID/icon, so keep it open to anyone, that includes no bashing and no favoritism.
Prizes: The prizes are not yet decided on. So far, ~WolfieKid and maybe ~kyotokittygirlmeow are offering to do the prizing, what exactly they are offering is still in the dark. But possibly a picture or story, don't get your hopes up if you want a subscription.
Judging: So far, ~Moonrivers and ~Brainlessknight are judging, maybe with the inclusion of ~kyotokittygirlmeow. This is good already, but if one drops out, we just might need a back up. Remember, if you judge, you cannot compete in the contest.
As judges, you have the responsibility to judge the presented work of fellow members unbiased. You should be able to criticize fairly and only be influenced by the work presented to you. Analyze various parts of the work, such as color, tone, use of line, context, media(materials/ways you used, i.e. hand drawn with crayons, digital, oil canvas(you can do that), etc.), shape, space, texture, and other elements of design. Also, the requirements of the task should be met.
Due Date: I would say it should start next month, the 1st of July, and end on the 31st of July, meaning you have exactly one month to get it done.
Entry: Just send the link to your entry to us in a note, like a normal submission, but please add 'Contest' somewhere in the title, so
we know for what it is. You must get your entry in within the time frame. If you don't, we think you just didn't compete at all. Please, if you really want to compete but there is a very good reason you will not be able to send your work in on time, please note the club before the date, or ~rox4eva if you can't wait too long.
If you disagree with any of the above, speak now or forever hold your peace.
Seriously people, we need some nice votes here. I need to know if I'm doing an alright job with the club! >.<
And if the prep talk up there is a little too, formal, for your eyes, I shall do a simpler one.
